Trullo, Council in

Church council called by Justinian II (q.v.) that met in Constantinople (q.v.) in 691-692. The council issued 102 cannons concerning church discipline, which, in the view of the council, completed the work of the Fifth and Sixth Ecumenical Councils (q.v.), hence the name "Fifth-Sixth" (Quinisextum), which the Council in Trullo is sometimes called.
